WBIW Listening Area To Get A Dash Of The White Stuff

Last updated on Monday, December 1, 2008

(UNDATED) - Well the weather outside is frightful, at least a little bit. A low pressure system that has moved through the area is bringing snowy weather throughout the WBIW listening area, especially toward the north.

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis says around 2 inches of snow are possible in some parts of the state, but the areas that will see that kind of accumulation are mostly north of I-70.

Here in South Central Indiana, accumulation is still possible, and our partners at The Weather Channel say it could be around 1 to 2 inches. Later on in the day, winds are expected to pick up to blow snow causing the potential for visibility problems.

So far, no watches or warnings have been issued, and there are no closings, cancellations or delays of schools or businesses reported to WBIW News.

However, keep tuned to 1340 WBIW or watching WBIW.com for the latest on severe weather and on the problems it may cause.
