(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington company has been given an $85,000 grant by the US Department of Defense to further develop their concept of a wearable supercomputer.

You heard that right, a supercomputer you can wear. Inside Indiana Business reports Bloomington-based MNB Technologies is developing a computer with the power of 10 to 12 conventional desktop computers, that can fit into a package that is about the size of a paperback novel and weighs about one pound.

The computer is designed to be clipped to a person's belt, viewed through a monitor that is reminiscent of a tennis visor, and is controlled by a wireless, foldable keyboard and mouse.

The DoD indicates it would primarily use this item, at first, for simulation and training purposes.
