(BEDFORD) - It was a rough time on Lawrence County roadways this past weekend, or, rather a slippery time.

Between Bedford, Mitchell and Lawrence County police, dispatchers received reports of more than 45 accidents, most of them minor, though 4 of them reported injuries of some sort, and one involved a reportedly intoxicated driver.

After an alleged hit-and-run early Sunday morning, Bedford police arrested 21-year-old Kayla Faubion of Bedford for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

A 6-year-old Bedford girl complained of pain to her head after a Friday night accident on John Williams Boulevard, and, Saturday night, a 13-year-old Mitchell girl's foot was run over while crossing M Street near 16th in Bedford.

Overall, Saturday's snowfall caused the most havoc, with at least 40 of this weekend's accidents happening that day.
