(UNDATED) - Additional police officers will be on duty over the new years holiday, looking for drivers that are impaired, aggressive drivers, passengers who are not wearing seat belts and children not in child seats.

Officials say they're looking for voluntary compliance. State Police First Sergeant Dave Bursten says they don't want to see anybody drinking to excess to the point that they can't drive, creating a hazard that could make it the last day of the year for them or for somebody else.
