(BEDFORD) - Five cars wound up in a wreck Friday afternoon near the intersection of IN-37 and US-50, and one person is in jail after a U-turn gone wrong.
Lawrence County Police reports say 23-year-old Crista Johnson of Springville was heading north on US-50 just north of the IN-37 interchange when she decided she needed to turn around and head back to Mitchell.
However, the report indicates she didn't use a turn signal and drivers right behind her didn't see brake lights, and the maneuver caused a chain reaction damaging 5 vehicles, and injuring Johnson's passenger, 32-year-old Anthony Earl of Mitchell.
Johnson was cited for driving while suspended and was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.
No one else was listed as injured.
