(MITCHELL) - The man police have been looking for since the middle of last week has been found dead in his SUV off of Teke Burton Drive.

Bedford, Mitchell and Lawrence County police are all on the scene of a fatal accident at Teke Burton Drive and IN-37.

The driver of the vehicle, who has been confirmed as dead, is 24-year-old Joshua Aslinger.

So far, no skid marks or other signs of problems have been found at the scene of the wreck.

Aslinger was last seen late last Wednesday night driving his green Ford Explorer from Mitchell north to Bedford, and police entered the man into their missing persons database late last week.

An autopsy is scheduled and, until it is complete, no cause of death can be declared.

Police shut down Teke Burton Drive between IN-37 and Hatfield Elementary School.
