(JACKSON COUNTY) - Indiana conservation officers found a father and his son who got lost while hunting in northern Jackson County.
The Indiana DNR says David Morris and his son Cody were deer hunting in the Hoosier National Forest in northern Jackson County Saturday night.
The DNR says Cody shot a deer and while they were dressing the animal, the sun set, leaving them in the dark disoriented.
Indiana State Police, Jackson County Sheriffs, and the Pershing Township Volunteer Fire Department all responded and with the help of K-9 Officer Kane, officers located the pair in the woods.
Both father and son were cold, but otherwise fine.
