Riley House Gets New Date For Move

Last updated on Wednesday, October 15, 2008

(BEDFORD) - Weather, paperwork and other snafus have caused almost a year’s worth of delays in moving the William T. Riley House to its new home at 14th and J Streets.

However, now, the Historic Preservation Committee of Bedford Revitalization, Incorporated has a new date scheduled for the move, and is crossing its fingers that it happens.

November 1st, the home of William T. Riley, the Bedford native turned renowned California artist, will move from its current home on 25th Street to it's new location of 14th and J Streets near downtown. However, before then, on October 21st, BRI will be celebrating Riley's birthday at the Lawrence County Museum.

Attendees will be able to see the new site for the old home as part of the celebration.
