Last updated on Wednesday, October 29, 2008

(BLOOMINGTON) - The Chase Bank in downtown Bloomington was robbed yesterday afternoon, and police are looking for the robber.

The Bloomington Herald Times reports the robbery at the Chase Bank at College and Kirkwood Avenues in downtown Bloomington was reported around 2:30 yesterday afternoon, and the suspect fled the scene leaving a short trail of dye-pack-stained cash behind him.

The paper said red dye packs went off inside the suspect's backpack, which wasn't entirely closed. Right now, police say they are looking for a white male, about 5'8", who was last seen wearing a dark hat, jacket and sunglasses and carrying a backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call Bloomington police at (812) 349-3322.
