INDOT Gets Ready For Winter

Last updated on Thursday, October 9, 2008

(UNDATED) - The Linton and Paoli Subdistricts of the Indiana Department of Transportation are making preparations for the winter driving months.

Maintenance crews will be going over their big yellow utility trucks from stem to stern, checking over all mechanical equipment since these machines will be running practically all winter.

The Linton subdistrict covers Greene and Sullivan Counties.

The Paoli subdistrict handles roads in Orange, Lawrence, Martin and Dubois Counties.

The Old Farmer's Almanac says this coming winter will be snowier than usual in the Ohio Valley, with greater snowfalls in the western portions of the region.

The WBIW Listening area falls right in the center of the Ohio Valley region.
