Get Registered To Vote Today, Bedford!

Last updated on Monday, October 6, 2008

(UNDATED) - Today is the day if you plan on being an active participant in this year’s elections.

Today, October 6th, is the deadline to register to vote in the November 4th general elections, which means you have to either get to your local Bureau of Motor Vehicles, or get a voter registration application postmarked, before the end of the day today.

Secretary of State Todd Rokita's office reports that more than 630,000 voter registrations have either been wholly added or updated since the 2006 general elections, which is garnering national attention for a state that is usually ignored in national politics.

Arizona Senator John McCain is leading by only 2 points, 47% to 45% according to SurveyUSA, which has people raising eyebrows, especially since president bush locked up 60% of Hoosier votes.
