Police On Hunt For Runaway Suspect

(PAOLI) - State police are looking for a man that took off running from officers in Paoli Wednesday afternoon.

State police reports say officers made a traffic stop in Orange County for speeding, and when the officer attempted to identify the passenger, he took off running south on foot.

Police say the passenger, 21-year-old Bennie Wayne Gilbert, is wanted in Crawford County for petition to revoke on an original charge of burglary, and later stole a pickup to flee from officers.

Paoli police, as well as Orange, Washington and Lawrence County Sheriff's Departments are all on the hunt.

Gilbert is described as 5'5", 145 pounds, brown hair and brown eyes.
