Last updated on Tuesday, September 2, 2008

(BURNEY) - The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating a deadly medical helicopter crash in Decatur County.

An Air Evac chopper crashed Sunday, killing all three on board. Pilot Roger Warren, nurse Sandra Pearson and paramedic Wade Weston left a fundraiser at the Decatur County Fire Department and crashed into a cornfield.

Pearson, who is a Paoli native, only recently transferred to the Rushville Air-Evac base from the Orange County town.

Air Evac has suspended patient flights at three other sites in Indiana as a result of this crash.
