(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana Secretary of State Todd Rokita is getting ready to take a few loan brokers out to the woodshed.
A deadline for all loan companies to have a principal manager on board and certified came and went Tuesday, and, Rokita's office says, 361 loan brokers didn't make it. Those 361 loan brokers will have their licenses revoked.
That adds to the 143 brokers that have voluntarily suspended their licenses. That cuts the number of licensed loan brokers by around half, as 389 brokers are now listed as being fully compliant with the principal manager law.
That list of revoked-license brokers includes 4 in Bloomington, 1 in Mitchell and none in Bedford. For a list of local brokers with revoked licenses, scroll down; and for a full list of unlicensed brokers statewide, log on to www.in.gov/sos.
