"Operation Pull Over" Returns To Area

Last updated on Friday, August 15, 2008

(BLOOMINGTON) - It’s again time to pay extra-close attention to how many beers or glasses of wine you had with dinner.

State police all around Indiana start their next edition of "Operation Pull Over" today, and will run it through the 1st of September.

State police will be working overtime, literally, to catch drunk and otherwise impaired drivers on Indiana roads. So far, efforts by law enforcement all around Indiana have roadway fatalities reduced by 114 versus last year.

Bloomington State Police Assistant Post Commander Denny Kirkman says Bloomington troopers, which cover Lawrence, Monroe, Brown, Greene and Owen Counties, will be conducting saturation patrols and seatbelt enforcement zones.
