(UNDATED) - The Indiana State Police in Putnamville have revealed their overall plan to reduce traffic accidents.

State Police Sgt. Rich Myers says state troopers will be focusing on tailgaters, speeders, those who don't yield the right of way and those who make unsafe lane movements.

Those are all behaviors that have been identified by state police as the main causes of accidents. Additionally, troopers will be working on educational efforts to prevent such activities, and working with INDOT on engineering factors that can contribute to accidents.

Sgt. Myers says, in Morgan County alone, they have had 7 fatalities so far this year.
