(ORLEANS) - The Town of Orleans has hired a consultant to work on making downtown Orleans a national historic district.
Dr. Joanne Raetz Stuttgen of Martinsville will be setting up shop in Orleans to help the town make the register.
Stuttgen will be helping establish boundaries for the proposed district, and will be tag teaming with Orleans Clerk-Treasurer Robert Henderson, Jr.
The project is being funded by both the Orange County Community Foundation and the US Department of the Interior.
