Last updated on Friday, August 15, 2008

(BLOOMFIELD) - State police in the Bloomington District are continuing to investigate the shooting death of a Bloomfield man from last week.

Bloomington State Police Sgt. Curt Durnil says state detectives are still working with Greene County Prosecutor Jarrod Holtsclaw in examining the incident that left 58-year-old Everett Smith of Bloomfield dead with a gunshot wound to his head.

Holtsclaw indicated his office is still waiting on autopsy and other test results that could bring more relevant information into the investigation.

As of yet, no arrests have been made nor charges filed, and police are still working the case.
