Last updated on Wednesday, August 27, 2008

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Police Department has added two more pairs of boots to its force.

Officers Cory Thomas and David Booth have put in their time at the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy's basic training course as required of officers.

Parsley says Thomas was hired right after New Year's and has also completed pre-basic and field training courses, and will serve the afternoon shift as a uniformed officer.

Booth was hired on in early April and completed all the same training, and also graduated with honors as #5 in the entire class, and ranking 3rd in firearms, and will serve Bedford in the mornings.

Both Thomas and Booth completed nearly 900 hours of total training.
