Former Ellettsville Councilman Charged In Road Rage Incident

Last updated on Wednesday, July 30, 2008

(ELLETTSVILLE) - A former Ellettsville Town Council member was arrested Monday on a road rage charge involving a loaded firearm.

The Bloomington Herald Times reports 42-year-old Ted Robertson was involved in a verbal altercation after a series of road rage style incidents with another man, and when the man got out of the car and knocked on Robertson's window, Robertson reportedly loaded a round into his 9mm pistol and began yelling back.

The paper says Robertson then followed the man back to his home where he reportedly tried to run the man's wife down with his car, which was reportedly corroborated by witnesses, and the altercation continued.

Robertson was taken to Monroe County jail on charges of pointing a loaded firearm at a person and criminal recklessness.

Robertson served on the Ellettsville Town Council until he lost his reelection bid this past November.
