(BLOOMINGTON) - A not-guilty plea has been entered in the case of the Minneapolis singer stabbed to death in Bloomington over the weekend.

According to a report published in the Bloomington Herald-Times, 32-year-old Brian White of Warsaw pled not-guilty to a charge of murder after he allegedly stabbed 32-year-old Christopher Johnson to death at a house party Saturday.

Johnson, though a native of Mishawaka, Indiana, was the frontman for a Minneapolis based alternative band "Useless Wooden Toys," and was performing with his band at a Bloomington house party when the stabbing occurred.

Court documents show that Johnson was stabbed with a 3-inch folding knife found at the scene which punctured his aorta causing him to bleed to death internally.

An outpouring of support and condolences have arrived at the band's MySpace website.

The full trial is expected to get underway August 7th.
