Tall Grass Blamed For Accident Between Relatives

Last updated on Thursday, June 12, 2008

(LAWRENCEPORT) - Two people were injured after a collision at the intersection of Lawrenceport and Stonington Roads yesterday.

17 year old Amanda Thacker of Mitchell was pulling onto Lawrenceport Road from Stonington when she pulled into the path of 61 year old Pauline Thacker also of Mitchell who was traveling north on Lawrenceport Road. Pauline was unable to avoid Amanda's car.

Amanda claims she couldn't see Pauline's car coming because of high grass at the intersection, and while police were on the scene several people stopped to complain about the grass.

Amanda complained of pain to her entire body, and Pauline had pain in her lower leg and were both treated by medical technicians.
