(HARRODSBURG) - A young Mitchell man is in jail after having an officer help him change a flat tire.
A state trooper from the Bloomington district came across a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Cacey Burton of Mitchell with a flat tire on IN-37 near Harrodsburg in a dangerous spot Thursday.
Trooper Doug Hutchinson got out of his patrol vehicle and helped Burton change his tire and sent him on his way, and while he was filling out his report afterwards, realized the plates on his car didn't match the vehicle itself, so he got back out on the road to pull him over.
And when he did that and ran his driver's license information, realized Burton was wanted here in Lawrence County for probation violations.
Burton was then arrested and lodged in Lawrence County jail, all because he blew a tire.
