And We Wonder, Who'll Stop The Rain?

Last updated on Monday, June 9, 2008

(UNDATED) - Rain, rain, go away! After last summer’s drought, I bet you never thought people would be saying that!

The northern half of the listening area is still a water logged mess after this weekend's storms, and flood warnings remain in most areas, including Lawrence County, and, to add insult to injury, we're looking at more to come as early as 4:00pm this afternoon.

This morning, another large storm system stretches from Oklahoma City all the way to Green Bay, Wisconsin, and it's moving east, and some of the stronger cells seem to be right in line with us.

As a result, flash flood watches have been issued again through late tonight, along with the river flood warnings that will be in place through most of this week, if not into next week.

Additionally, those needing to travel are looking at some possible reroutes, especially if you need to use Interstates 65 or 70.

I-65 is still having flooding problems near Columbus, and I-70 is flooded in Clay County near the Brazil exit.
