(BLOOMINGTON) - Protesters against the Interstate 69 expansion caused trouble in Bloomington yesterday afternoon.
Bloomington Police say they were called to the one city center yesterday to a call saying a number of people were outside the i-69 office carrying signs reading "stop i-69," marking things up with chalk and then tossed a hunk of concrete through the office's door window pane.
This isn't the first protest of the i-69 expansion between Indy and Evansville, but it is the first one to turn violent in Bloomington.
Police say as soon as the window was broken out, the protesters, all wearing bandannas over their faces, were gone before officers could arrive.
