Last updated on Wednesday, June 4, 2008

(MITCHELL) - Mitchell Police and Fire Departments had to respond to a call of a jack-knifed cement truck that just so happened to also be on fire on IN-60 Yesterday morning.

Mitchell Fire Chief Tyler Duncan tells WBIW News 38-year-old Harminder Singh, who drives a truck for MCS Trucking in Indianapolis, lost control of his rig on the way to load up at Lehigh Cement, and jack-knifed his truck, crushing the battery compartment, and starting the truck on fire.

Duncan says when his crews arrived at the scene, the entire vehicle was fully involved, but they were able to bring the fire down shortly after.

No injuries were reported.
