(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man’s wallet got a little fatter on father’s day.
Roy Key of Bedford was at Speedway, just south of Bedford, and decided to buy a "Palace Treasures" scratch-off ticket because he hadn't won on it before.
Key scratched off the ticket which won $50,000 inside the store, and quietly walked out.
Key scratched off the ticket on father's day but waited to claim his prize until yesterday, because he and his wife worked earlier in the week.
Key plans to pay bills with his winnings.
