State Police Looking For Stolen Construction Equipment

Last updated on Monday, May 12, 2008

(LOOGOOTEE) - The Jasper Lumber Company has had a backhoe turn up missing from a project site in Loogootee.

State police from the Jasper District say Jasper Lumber employees delivered a yellow, 2001 John Deere backhoe to Mid-Western Engineers in Loogootee.

When employees came back to the project site near the intersection of US-50 and US-231 around noon yesterday, they report the backhoe wasn't where they left it, and filed a report with the police.

Officers are still looking for this piece of equipment.

State Police Jasper ask anyone with information on this stolen John Deere backhoe to call the post at (800) 742-7475.
