SAIC Gets $34M Contract From Crane

Last updated on Thursday, May 22, 2008

(BLOOMFIELD) - An NSWC Crane contractor in Bloomfield has been awarded a $34 million contract by the naval base in support of the Missile Defense Agency.

Company officials at Science Applications International say the contract is to provide technical, logistical and other types of support to keep missile assets ready.

SAIC is Greene County's largest employer with a payroll of more than 700 people, no word yet, however, on whether this newest development would provide further employment opportunities in the area.
