Bedford Man Injured In Missouri Wreck

(MARSHALL, MO) - A Bedford man was injured in an accident in north central Missouri Monday afternoon.

According to a report published in the Democrat-News, the newspaper in Marshall, Missouri which is about 60 miles west of Columbia, 79-year-old William Wires of Bedford suffered minor injuries when his car was sideswiped by another car on westbound Interstate 70 in Missouri's Saline County.

Wires' Ford swerved back and forth eventually running off the left side of the road and into a guard cable. The other vehicle, driven by 52-year-old Karen Wilbur of Oak Grove, Missouri, also left the roadway and struck a guard cable.

Wires was taken by ambulance to the I-70 Medical Center in Sweet Springs, no citations have been issued, but an investigation continues.
