French Lick Man Busted In Martin County

Last updated on Friday, April 4, 2008

(SHOALS) - A French Lick man has found himself in some serious trouble after getting pulled over in Martin County early this morning.

State Police Jasper say they found 48-year-old Tony Poe of French Lick driving in Martin County and recognized him as a habitual traffic offender whose driving privileges have been suspended for life.

When officers pulled him over, they report that they found him to be intoxicated, and took him into custody.

The report says that, while in the back of the squad car en route to Martin County jail, Poe allegedly began tearing up the back of the vehicle, and when they actually arrived, he reportedly became disorderly and resisted officers.

They eventually got Poe processed and lodged in the Martin County jail, and he is now facing a felony count of being a habitual traffic violator, and misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and public intoxication.
