(BEDFORD) - The consequences of this weekend’s winter storms are still being felt.
The National Weather Service has extended flood warnings for areas along the East Fork of the White River.
The only area seeming to be out of the weeds so far is Seymour, whose warning was scheduled to cancel last night.
In Rivervale, flood warnings have been extended until Friday morning. Yesterday, flood levels in Rivervale were 7.5 feet over flood level, another 6 inches and residential areas could begin flooding.
In Bedford, river levels were almost 5 feet over flood stage, causing several areas to be cut off by water. The Bedford Boat Club was accessible only by boat. Bedford's flood warning continues until Thursday morning.
Williams is expected to have flooding until Thursday evening. Levels were expected over the 10-foot problem level by last night, which means IN-450 and CR400 South could be compromised.
In Shoals, flooding is expected to continue until Wednesday afternoon. Flood levels were expected to be more than a foot over flood stage by last night. 2 feet over flood stage causes significant problems in Shoals.
The extra flooding is primarily a result of Friday's winter storm which dumped some serious snow on the area, and then spent Saturday and Sunday melting.
