(SHOALS) - Martin County Sheriff’s deputies took in a Shoals man for battery resulting from an apparent verbal argument.
A report released by State Police Jasper says 47-year-old Tony Tinkle of Shoals got into a verbal altercation with another man at a Lowe Street home in Shoals.
That's when, police allege, after the argument, Tinkle slapped the other man in the face.
Martin County Sheriff's deputies would eventually make contact with tinkle on East River Road and take him into custody.
Tinkle was lodged in the Martin County jail charged with a misdemeanor count of battery.
