(BLOOMINGTON) - The School of Continuing Studies at Indiana University has gained some accolades for their post-prison employment course.
The Indiana Council for Continuing Education has selected the post-prison employment program as their 2007 Course of the Year.
IU's Workforce Development Director Nate Klinck says securing meaningful employment is a key step in preventing recidivism.
The course of the year award is given to one program per year that exhibits the ability to better educational opportunities for community members.
