Last updated on Tuesday, March 11, 2008

(BLOOMFIELD) - A Greene County man is dead after getting into a head-on accident with his daughter-in-law yesterday morning.

Greene County Sheriff's officials say 73-year-old Morris Todd was heading eastbound on IN-54 when he rounded a bend and came upon 44-year-old Beth Todd's minivan in the oncoming lane.

Sherriff's officials suspect Beth Todd had fallen asleep behind the wheel of her minivan. Morris Todd was pronounced dead at the scene.

His wife, 67-year-old Judith Todd was flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with an apparent hip injury.

Beth Todd was taken to Bloomington Hospital with what are being reported as minor injuries.

IN-54 was shut down for about 3 hours and the investigation continues.
