Flood Warnings Continue, Roads Becoming Compromised

Last updated on Tuesday, March 4, 2008

(BEDFORD) - The flood warning for the northern half of our listening area and areas along the East Fork of the White River continues today.

National Weather Service meteorologists declared a flood warning for areas along the East Fork until further notice, including Bedford, Williams and Shoals.

Additionally, there is a flood warning for small creeks and streams in Lawrence, Monroe, Jackson and Brown Counties until 2:00 this afternoon.

Some area roads are already being compromised. As of 9:00am this morning, there was about 4 to 6 inches of rushing water over IN-450 about a mile and a half east of Williams.

Areas from Orange County south are still only under a flood watch.
