Bedford Woman Arrested After Being Helped By Officers

Last updated on Monday, March 10, 2008

(BEDFORD) - In another strange occurrence on this unusually busy weekend for officers, Bedford police responded to a call at the Kirlin’s Hallmark to a possible thief Saturday.

Police arrived and determined the person in question, 31-year-old Erika Munson of Williams, had not stolen anything, but she was still asked to sign a no-trespass order.

After that, Munson reportedly asked the officer to give her a ride to the nearby KFC since she didn't have a driver's license, which the officer did.

Later that day, the same officers reportedly noticed Munson driving on John Williams Boulevard and, of course, pulled her over for driving while suspended.

During the stop, the 2nd officer noticed she allegedly put a pill in her mouth during the stop, which turned out to be methadone.

Munson was arrested for driving while suspended and possession of a Schedule II substance.
