Bedford Police Seeking Approval For Hiring New Officer

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Police Department is looking to add a new officer to their ranks.

After the recent resignation of Officer Jamie Cummings from the force, Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley tells WBIW News they have a new man picked out, and are ready to get the final authority to hire him at a police pension board meeting this Friday afternoon at City Hall.

The meeting will occur at 2:00pm.
