(UNDATED) - The rain continues to fall on many parts of the state and the National Weather Service says the situation may get worse next week.
Meteorologist John Kwiatkowski says another warm-up is on the way sometime next week. This will come after more expected snow -- meaning, more water.
Kwiatkowski says a few days of cold weather will actually help stop the flooding by freezing the water and keeping it in one spot. Kwiatkowski says areas received between one and three inches of rain, on top of melting snow from earlier this week.
A flood warning remains in effect today. That includes the Wabash, Tippecanoe, and White Rivers. Several counties have begun evacuations because of the rising waters.
