(JACKSON COUNTY) - Six people were rescued from a small pickup truck stranded in flood water across a road in Jackson County Saturday evening.

The driver, Paul Jones, called 911 from CR150 East and moved his family to the top of the cab.

After pinpointing the location, authorities used air boats to rescue everyone from the submerged truck, which was heading downstream in the strong current.

Rescued were Paul Jones, his wife Diana, and her mother-in-law along with their three children.
