Last updated on Tuesday, January 29, 2008

(CLARK COUNTY) - An accident between a school bus and a minivan in Clark County has claimed the life of one woman yesterday afternoon.

State Police Sellersburg says 36-year-old Sherri Anderson of Pekin was westbound on IN-60 when, for reasons still unknown, she crossed the centerline and rammed headlong into a school bus that, at the time, was not transporting children.

The bus driver, 66-year-old Anna Marie Klein of Floyds Knobs was injured in the wreck and was taken to Floyd County Memorial Hospital.

Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene by Clark County Coroner Edwin Coots, Jr. There were no passengers in the minivan as well, and police still don't know if seatbelts were used.

The investigation into the accident continues.
