Lawrence County Now Off Hook For River Flooding

Last updated on Monday, January 14, 2008

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Flood warnings are starting to be cancelled by the National Weather Service for areas along the White River East Fork, including Bedford and Williams.

As of 9:30 this morning, flood warnings for Bedford and Williams have been reduced to flood advisories, since they no longer expect the East Fork of the White River to crest flood stages throughout Lawrence County.

The National Weather Service has also announced the end of flooding along the river in Jackson County, and along the main line of the White River in Madison and Owen Counties.

Flood warnings for the east fork in Seymour have also been cancelled.
