Former WBIW Radio Personality Kenny Ray Passes

(FRENCH LICK) - A major local radio personality passed away yesterday at Dunn Memorial Hospital.

Kenneth R. Howard, better known as "Kenny Ray," spent most of his career working radio in and around Bedford, French Lick and Bloomington, including at this very station, doing this very job for a number of years.

Kenny was the news director for WBIW News up until 2003, taking over from Troy Guthrie in 1998, and was only 41 years old at the time of his passing.

Kenny was also a youth minister at Woodville Baptist Church in Mitchell, and personality at Spirit 95 in Bloomington until the time of his passing.

Memorial services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 1:00pm at Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Home in French Lick.
