Another Fatal Wreck In Southern Indiana

Last updated on Wednesday, January 30, 2008

(NEW ALBANY) - Another fatal wreck claimed the life of a man in Southern Indiana, this time in New Albany.

Shortly before 9:00pm last night, the Floyd County Sheriff's Office got a call of a wreck on IN-111 near Chapel Lane between a Toyota minivan and a Toyota Camry sedan.

The report provided by State Police Sellersburg says the minivan, driven by 16-year-old Simon Weber of Floyds Knobs, crossed the centerline and struck the sedan of 41-year-old Charles Ennis III head on.

Weber was treated and released at the scene by emergency medical technicians. Ennis was pronounced dead at the scene by the Floyd County Coroner.

The report says both drivers were wearing seatbelts, but that the winds and rain may have played a role.
