Winter Forecasts Bring Slick Roads, Driving Tips

Last updated on Wednesday, December 5, 2007

(BEDFORD) - Winter weather forecasts continue throughout this afternoon in the WBIW listening area.

Forecasts are calling for a rain/snow mix throughout the morning hours and then additional snow showers are due this afternoon, though total accumulation is expected to be below the one-inch line.

This is also causing state troopers to issue safe winter driving tips, for when people are either out on the road, or are planning to be, in inclement weather.

Sergeant Anthony Emery of the state police in Indianapolis recommends making sure your windows are clear, reducing speed, turning on headlights even during the day, and to not use cruise control on slick roads.

For the latest cancellations, closing and delays, keep an eye on Winter Weather Watchers.
