Last updated on Monday, December 3, 2007

(MITCHELL) - 2 men have been officially arrested on charges stemming from the armed robbery at the Sprint Gas Station in Mitchell.

The Mitchell police log says 26-year-old Timothy Markham of Mitchell and 23-year-old James Torres of Evansville were arrested on armed robbery charges from the Friday morning robbery that left one clerk at the gas station injured.

Assistant Chief Troy Lobosky says the 2 men allegedly used a pair of vehicles in committing the crime.

Lawrence county Sheriff's Deputies picked up Torres and Markham in one vehicle and Mitchell police searched the other allegedly recovering cash, clothing and a weapon supposedly used in the crime.

Lobosky says the investigation is continuing.
