(COLUMBUS) - A Columbus man will spend 90 years in prison for raping and stabbing to death a 14-year-old girl during a burglary.
20-year-old Demetrick Shepherd told a Bartholomew Superior Court judge during Friday's hearing that he plans to appeal his conviction.
A jury convicted him last month of murder, rape and burglary in the slaying of Chelsea Porter.
