(JASPER) - State police in Jasper pounded the pavement and came up with 3 alleged meth dealers and more than 5 pounds of crystal meth.
Friday, state troopers arrested 28-year-old Albert Apple and 29-year-old Christopher S. Jones, both of Paoli, for felony charges of dealing methamphetamine. Both were taken without incident to Orange County jail.
Then, Saturday, troopers stopped 26-year-old Cesar Luis Farel Lozano for speeding on Interstate 64 in Spencer County, when, after speaking with the man, the trooper decided to have his police dog "Justice" case the van.
Justice gave an affirmative reaction to narcotics on the vehicle, so help was called in. A second dog, "Brode" also confirmed drugs on the vehicle.
Troopers searched the van and allegedly found more than 5 pounds of meth, and more than 3 grams of cocaine.
Lozano was taken to Spencer County jail charged with dealing methamphetamine over 3 grams, possessing meth over 3 grams, and possessing cocaine over 3 grams, all felonies.
Troopers say the meth stash has a street value of more than $100,000.
