Police Say Couple Planned To Sell Boy For Drugs And Money

(COLUMBUS) - A Columbus man connected to an alleged plot to sell a child for drugs and money is awaiting trial, while a woman involved in the plan has been sentenced to three years in prison.

33-year-old Franklin resident Autumn Skiles and 31-year-old Christopher Henson were suspected of scheming to sell Skiles' infant son in March 2006.

Skiles was sentenced Monday in Johnson County to three years in prison and three years probation after pleading guilty to theft and neglect charges.

Henson's trial on a charge of child selling is scheduled for March 18 in Johnson County.
