(BLOOMINGTON) - To avoid any confusion, officials want to stress that the Southern Indiana Surgery Center is not the Bloomington Surgery Center and is not involved in any way with patient testing being offered at the Bloomington Surgery Center.
The tests for possible hepatitis or HIV infections are being offered to surgery patients of the Bloomington Surgery Center who were treated between February 2004 and may 2006.
A review was triggered by a state finding last year that an anesthesiologist at the Bloomington Surgery Center had used the same syringe on multiple patients.
